Operators entering their time via Shopnet will begin on the home screen (below):

Start: The start button is used to begin every transaction.  Clicking Start will display the Employee Screen to begin the transaction process.  If an employee is already working on a transaction, start will simultaneously end the previous transaction and begin the new transaction.  Once a shift has begun, the employee must always be logged into something until they are ready to end their shift.

Stop: The stop button is only used when an employee is working on multiple simultaneous transactions.  When an employee is working on a single transaction and wants to begin a new transaction, the Start button will automatically stop the previous transaction.  If an employee is working on multiple transactions, the Stop button will display a list of transactions that can be stopped (one must remain).

End Shift: When an employee has completed their shift, this button must be selected to end the shift.  A system setting is available to automatically print an end of shift report (or prompt the user if they would like to print the report).

Enter Quantity: An operator can enter a transaction quantity during the initial entry or any time while it's in process.  The Enter Quantity button is used to enter/edit the quantity after a transaction has started.

Enter Remarks: An operator can enter a transaction remark during the initial entry or any time while it's in process.  The Enter Remarks button is used to enter/edit the remarks after a transaction has started.  The remarks screen (below) can be used to type in any custom remarks using the workstation or onscreen keyboard.  A table of standard remarks can be defined for common entries from Tools > Job Control/Shopnet Tables > Shopnet Remarks.

Start Gang Job: Provides option of entering more than 1 job number for a transaction.  Used when an operation will begin and end for multiple jobs at the same time.

View Job Ticket: The job ticket can be viewed on screen by selecting this button.

Reports: A selection of reports are available:

• Employee Status: all transactions for a selected employee for the day
• Job Status: all transactions for a selected job for the day
• Completed Operations: all transactions for a selected operation for the day
• Current Activity: All currently active transactions
• User Defined Reports: Access to a list of user defined reports
