Estimates cutting cost and time based on inches per lift. This calculation may be used for prepress cuts, post press cuts and trimming. This calc estimates total lifts, cuts, hours and cost.
Operation Setup Requirements:

- Sell $ use: Markup % (recommended) or alternate sell rate
- Calc: 15
- Sub Key: Labor
- Inches Per Lift: Inches of paper that can be lifted into the cutter at one time
- Cuts/Lift: Option to assign default cuts per lift or "Auto". Auto calculates # cuts as ((#up x 2) +2) with bleeds or (#up + 3) without bleeds.
- Lifts in Cutter: Option to assign default lifts in cutter
- Minutes First Lift: Minutes for first lift (include set-up)
- Minutes per Repeat Lift: Minutes for each additional lift
- Estimated Cuts per Hour: Number of cuts per hour
- Default Code: Post-Press, Pre-Press or Trim

Calculation:
(Sheets x Caliper) / Inches per Lift = Total Lifts
(Total Lifts / Lifts in Cutter)(round up) x Cuts per Lift = Total Cuts
Minutes First Lift + ((Total Lifts - 1) x Minutes per Repeat Lift) = Lift Minutes
Total Cuts / Cuts per Hour = Cutting Hours
(Lift Minutes / 60) + Cutting Hours = Standard Hours
Standard Hours x J% = Estimated Hours
Estimated Hours x Rate = Cost $
Cost $ x Markup % = Markup $
